The Manas College of Science Technology and Management was established in 2021 in the remotest city Pithoragarh bordering Indo-China-Nepal trajectory affiliated with Soban Singh Jeena University for skill building under PPP mode as per the NEP 2020 as an initiative for providing vocational upliftment & job competencies on 75th anniversary of Independence Day “Amrit Mahotsava” as desired by Hon’ble Prime Minister to take new initiatives by the people. Demonstrating the true essence of its punchline, “कौशलनैव सिध्दिरवापय्ते”, it successfully meets the expectations of stakeholders by developing into a unique institution that imparts affordable vocational knowledge through Industrial and technical training to the region’s students. The Institute was founded by the leading educationist and visionary Dr. Ashok Kumar Pant, with a vision to address the pressing issue of education-led migration in the region. The college has been established under the umbrella of J.B. Memorial Manas Academy Management Society, Pithoragarh, a registered society of the Uttarakhand State Government with registration number UK06203112020005125 dated 15/07/2004. Currently, the college campus is spread in two different locations at Pithoragarh, one at Manas Gram at Tharkot and the other at Daula campus for Hotel management and catering technology. The new infrastructure of Manas group of institutions, ‘Manas gram’, is situated at Tharkot, which is only 6 km away from the city center on the Tanakpur-Pithoragarh highway, amidst a serene, picturesque, and lush green environment, making it an ideal choice for knowledge seekers.
